Mercury Colleges has successfully trained and educated many people of all ages for over 40 years. Located in a new high-rise building in Bondi Junction, the College is conveniently located ten minutes from the centre of Sydney and only 5 minutes from the world famous Bondi Beach.
In 1960, Mr Asher Israel B Com Dip Ed FCES, Principal of Hales College (one of the largest Business Colleges at that time) acquired the Eastern Suburbs Business College, which was later re-established as Mercury Business College Ltd (a non-profit company limited by guarantee). The college flourished and expanded, earning an admirable reputation. Since 1966, thousands of people have been trained in the College's proprietary speedwriting system, Mercury Shorthand, including journalists, personal assistants and Parliament House reporters.
Over the years, the college has developed into a well-established business
centre.
We are proud of our many graduates who have achieved professional success,
and have made important contributions to their communities. Among them are famous
actors, farmers, judges, doctors, managers, airline personnel, people in business
and authors. Mercury Colleges' staff today is truly international and multi-lingual
and has been attracted to the College because of its professionalism, fellowship
and its commitment to promoting cultural exchange.
At Mercury Colleges, we are committed to collaborate with universities, Government bodies, research institutes and industries in order to remain up to date with the advances in education and training in general and various course offerings in particular. We will dedicate our efforts and resources to building university pathways and global careers for our students.
